Paths we choose in life determine our opportunities, interactions, associations. Many paths can take us to the same places. Thinking about this I was searching for ways to depict the paths we take that embody our political leanings, hence the red, blue and purple colors. Our paths often meander, then converge with other paths and may eventual intersect, leading to networks of paths that promote interaction.

Peg MacMorris

As a child who was fascinated by colonial times, Peg tried a variety of crafts. She finally learned to weave as a young adult at a most inopportune time, in the midst of completing a Biology PhD. Over the subsequent 20 years or so, a 4-shaft loom resided in her home and she managed to weave a little; but with a busy career and children, she stayed a beginner weaver, thinking that 4S- overshot was plenty complex. In 1997 she moved to Colorado, joined Rocky Mountain Weavers Guild, discovered guild workshops, study groups, more shafts, and eventually a 16S Weavebird loom. After these many opportunities for learning, she escaped life as a beginner. At the urging of friends, she joined CW and attended her first Seminars in Albuquerque in 2010. Now, in retirement she has left the lab for multiple study groups, local guilds and CW and its study groups. During Covid, she acquired a new delight, a 32S Megado. She still does experiments, but now they all involve fiber.
